PRINCETON — The Illinois Valley Activity Directors’ Association held a meeting on Jan. 13 at Greenfield in Princeton.

Hostess Chris Thompson served the group a meal. President Rhonda Griffin, Perry Memorial in Princeton, opened the business meeting and Chris Biagi Roscoe, Heritage Health in Peru, read minutes from previous meeting. Education Chairwoman Chris Thompson gave a report on 2020 meeting locations and also treasury report. Jackie Latsch, LaSalle County Nursing Home, discussed social media and made bylaws available.

Kathy Conner, Heritage Health of Streator, gave a publicity report and will submit an article to area newspapers.

Kristi Christiansen, VITAS Hospice representative, addressed members on elder sensitivity. Activity calendars and new ideas were shared by the directors.

The next IVADA meeting will be at noon Monday, Feb. 10, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. The speaker will be Chris Thompson, the topic will be “It’s All in Your Head: Focus on Cognition.”
