ANTIOCH – Teens can bring their own books to the Antioch Public Library’s new silent book club. Whether it is a well-loved favorite or an exciting new find, all books and people are welcome. Teens can bring cozy blankets and pillows to hunker down and read any book of their choosing. Afterward there will be time to recommend a book, socialize with others, or just keep on reading.
The first silent book club will take place at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 16 in the Spiering Room on the lower level of the library.
In a lively discussion, local attorney Robert Monahan will be at the Antioch Public Library on Jan. 15 to answer questions about what a will is, why you need one, key provisions, how a will fits into a basic estate plan, and the risks and benefits of doing a will yourself.
The free program, titled “Your Last Will and Testament: The Key to Your Estate Plan,” will take place at 7 p.m. in the Eide room on the lower level of the library.
Register for the events by visiting the Antioch Public Library District or by visiting www.apld.info.
