A 15-year-old La Salle girl was charged with retail theft at 7:38 p.m. Friday at Beck's, 359 Third St. La Salle police said.
Daniel Haggard, 44, of Sheridan was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after a deer strike at 6 a.m. Friday on North 4251st Road near East 2603rd Road in Northville Township, La Salle County Sheriff’s Office said.
Christian Byars, 19, of Streator was charged with failure to yield for an emergency vehicle (Scott’s law) at 10:56 p.m. Saturday on Route 71 at North 31st Road northeast of Ottawa, La Salle County Sheriff’s Office said.
Taytum R. Osborn, 21, of 1515 St. Vincent’s Ave., rear unit, La Salle was charged with retail theft at 7:23 p.m. Thursday at Walmart, Peru police said.
Kevin L. Diamond Jr., 36, of Plano was charged with improper lane usage driving in wrong lane, operating uninsured motor vehicle, illegal possession of alcohol by driver and driving under the influence of alcohol at 3:46 a.m. Saturday on Route 23 near U.S. 52 in Serena Township, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.
David M. Manni. 39, no address provided, was picked up at 4:19 p.m. Saturday at 419 Park Ave. Ottawa on a fugitive-from-justice charge for an outstanding warrant out of North Carolina for probation violation/DUI, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office. The accident itself is still under investigation and Manni is confined at the La Salle County Jail awaiting an extradition hearing.
Dominic L. Ashley, 34, of 230 W. Sixth St., Spring Valley was picked up on a Bureau County warrant for possession of a controlled substance at 9:12 a.m. Thursday at 3026 S. California Ave. in Chicago, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.
PRINCETON — A vehicle driven by Blake O. Shofner of 229 Elm Place, Princeton struck a deer at 12:58 a.m. Friday at Route 26 and 1950 North Avenue, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.
