Romeoville High School and the Romeoville Area Chamber of Commerce teamed up to create an additional and unique learning opportunity for students.
The program is Workforce Academy, and with the help of the chamber’s education committee, students were able to connect with business leaders in the community and learn how to be better equipped to succeed when they join the work force.
Student participation in the seven-week program is voluntary with the sessions taking place during lunch periods.
For the inaugural series of meetings for Workforce Academy, over 300 RHS students participated and learned how to prepare for job interviews, how to successfully complete job applications, and about the qualities and skills employers are seeking.
