Joliet man charged with child porn possession

Judge set $200,000 bond; 53-year-old faces 5 charges

A Joliet man has been charged with possessing pornographic images and videos of nude children, according to a criminal complaint that was filed Monday.

On Monday, Will County Judge Carmen Goodman signed a warrant for the arrest of Brian E. Engle, 53, of the 2300 block of White Birch Lane.

Engle has been charged with five counts of child pornography, according to the warrant.

The criminal complaint said Engle was in possession of child pornography on March 20, 2016, and on July 19.

Engle possessed three images showing a nude child and two videos depicting a nude child engaged in a sexual act, the complaint said.

Engle has yet to be arrested as of Tuesday afternoon, according to jail and court records.

The child pornography case was investigated by Tinley Park police detectives, according to the warrant.

Tinley Park Police Chief Matthew Walsh did not respond to a call and a message Tuesday.

Engle works for USF Holland, according to the arrest warrant. The company provides shipment and delivery services in the Southeast and Midwest, according to its website.

The warrant for Engle’s arrest carries a $200,000 bond. He will be required to post $20,000 for his release if he is arrested and taken to the Will County jail.

Of the five counts of child pornography that Engle faces, two of them are Class 1 felonies. Engle could face between four to 15 years in prison.
