Run The Whispers 5k returning to Yorkville Aug. 24

The second annual "Run The Whispers Charity 5K" will be held in Yorkville's Whispering Meadows subdivision at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24.

The race and all-day community party will be held from the subdivision's community clubhouse at 525 Faxon Road.

All proceeds will benefit the Hope For The Day & Suicide Prevention Services.

Beer, food, ice cream, games, bags tourney, music and fun stuff for the kids will follow the race.

Event sponsors are Foxy's Ice Cream, Cornish Chiropractic and Tom Rogal, a local author. The event is presented by Heartland Beverage and Southbank Original Barbecue.
