New family medicine doctor joins OSF St. James

Dr. Andrew Wherley has joined the medical staff at OSF St. James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac. Wherley specializes in family medicine and caring for patients throughout their lifespan.

Wherley received a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais and a medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford. He also completed a four-year rural medicine education program. His areas of expertise include chronic management of diabetes, hypertension and respiratory disease and dermatologic procedures.
