Carl Buddig & Company LLC in Montgomery has been named the recipient of the Trade and Industry Development 2019 Corporate Investment/Community Impact Award, according to the Montgomery Economic Development Corporation.
In a statement, the MEDC extended its congratulations to Buddig & Company, which opened last year in the former Butterball plant on Rochester Drive.
Buddig & Company is one of 15 companies from across the county selected as CICI award winners.
“A company’s decision to locate or to expand can have a profound effect on a community,” said Peter Francesconi, managing editor of Due North Media in announcing this year’s awards.
Doug Marecek, a Montgomery village trustee and MEDC board chairman, said he was pleased to learn Buddig & Company had been selected for the award.
“It really does take a village as they say,” Marecek said, adding, “Through the hard work of many agencies and organizations we were able to welcome Carl Buddig & Company to the village of Montgomery and look forward continuing to work with them as they continue to grow in our community. I know we are excited to have Carl Buddig, an award-winning company, as a member of our community.”
