ST. CHARLES – Geneva resident Heather Ingevaldson has gone two for two in the last month when it comes to meeting celebrities.

After meeting actor/singer and St. Charles resident Donnie Wahlberg last month as he broke ground on his signature Wahlburgers restaurant in St. Charles, Ingevaldson came face-to-face with Wahlberg's wife, actress and television/radio host Jenny McCarthy, on April 5 during the launch of Blondies By Jenny cans at Blue Goose Market in downtown St. Charles.

Her cocktail drink previously had only been available in bottles.

"She's a Chicago girl, so we've been following her career the whole time, since [she was] in 'Playboy' magazine and on the show 'Singled Out,' Ingevaldson said. "We love Jenny."

Ingevaldson was among a long line of fans waiting to meet McCarthy. She had her picture taken with McCarthy and she also autographed Blondies bottles and cans for Ingevaldson. Last month, Wahlberg autographed a 30th anniversary vinyl copy of the New Kids on the Block's album "Hanging Tough" for Ingevaldson. Wahlberg is an original member of the band.

Wahlberg and McCarthy were married at the Hotel Baker in St. Charles in 2014. Ingevaldson said McCarthy seems to be as down-to-earth as Wahlberg.

"It seems like they're a good match," she said. "They are very good to their fans, very sweet."

Lori Riggs, of Hanna City, near Peoria, drove almost three hours to be at the event. Accompanying Riggs was her friend and co-worker Tracy Moore.

They arrived at the store at about 1:30 p.m. to ensure a spot at the beginning of the line, well before the launch party actually got underway at 6:30 p.m.

"I love Jenny," Riggs said. "She's amazing. She's just like a friend. She's so personable."

Blue Goose Market President and CEO Paul Lencioni said he was pleased the store was able to host the event.

"I think it's awesome that Donnie and Jenny decided to live in St. Charles," he said. "I'm honored that she's launching her Blondies cans – first time ever – at the Blue Goose. They're just terrific community members. I'm just happy that I can help and that I can sell Blondies to awesome people in St. Charles and have the honor to do something that is this much stinking fun."

In addition, he happens to like the product.

"It's fruity and delicious and refreshing," Lencioni said.
