Jake Grabarek and Max Dukovac, students at Oswego High School and members of the Oswego Hockey Club, were selected by the high school head coaches in their league
to play in the Illinois High School State game on Feb. 11.

These two young men were selected as the best in their positions out of 27 high schools across the state of Illinois. Grabarek was one of only two goalies ( there were six total) that had a shut out in the game. Both Grabarek and Dukovac also play hockey on high level club teams, Grabarek with the Central States Division Naperville Sabres and Dukovac with the AAA Chicago Young Americans. Jake’s twin brother, Ben, plays defense on both of Jake’s teams and Max’s father, Paul Dukovac, a former college and professional hockey player, coaches the Oswego team.

The Oswego Hockey Club is two years old.

Team members include Nick Haas, Nicholas Johnson, Benjamin Grabarek, Michael Ryan, Jack Harris, Aaron Sinta, Brandon Alesia, Reese Paravola, Vincenzo Buonincontro, Jacob Grabarek, Ben Zarembski, Maxwell Dukovac and Connor Podlesak.
