Plano High School recently announced its students and staff of the month for December.

PHS staff nominated students for Student of the Month for the month of December. Students are nominated for PRIDE behavior (Personal responsibility, Respect, Involved academically, Demonstrates safe behavior, and Excellence in what they do).

Students of the Month for December are Imanol Villa, Ruben Rodriguez, Christian Garcia Guzman, Emma Shores, Kayla Galloway, Joshua Thoms, Carson Gill, Michaela McTighe, Annabella Evans, Sophia Andrade, Daniel Nunez and Yuri Brooks.

Reasons for nomination include achieving high standards in class, advocating well to understand the English language, focusing on academics, displaying determination, sharing a positive attitude, possessing leadership abilities, having a hard work ethic, and partnering with all students.

Staff Members of the Month for December are Mr. Vivanco, Ms. Chatman, Mr. and Mrs. Schaefer, Ms. Russell, Ms. Dellorto, Mr. Tardi, Mr. Seput, Ms. Lane, Mrs. Buss, Mr. Zurales, Mr. Hill, Mr. Kee, Mr. Andrews, Mr. Spratley, Ms. Franks and Ms. Hitzeman.

Reasons for nomination include keeping student-athletes accountable for daily school behavior, working hard during the snow day, being part of the problem-solving process, being creative with unique techniques, mentoring students, giving of extra time and support, providing a safer environment, providing extracurricular events for students, and volunteering to help Plano High School be the best it can be.

Students and staff members received a certificate and a breakfast in their honor.
