FULTON – Arlene Mae Stuart, 86, of Fulton, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at Harbor Crest Home in Fulton. She worked at Atlee Burpee Seed Co. in Clinton, Iowa, and Drives, Inc. in Fulton.

Arlene was born Oct. 25, 1932, in Thomson, to Henry C. and Clara (Bielema) Balk. She married Robert G. Stuart on July 9, 1953, in Fulton. He died Jan. 13, 2018. Arlene was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton.

Survivors include one daughter, Peg (Mike) Wessels of Fulton; four sons, Vince (Deb) Stuart and Warren (Joy) Stuart, both of Fulton, Gordon (Sandy) Stuart of Albany and Kent (Kim) Stuart of Chadwick; 11 grandchildren; one grandson-in-law; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; one granddaughter; two brothers, Kenneth and Eugene Balk; one sister, Irma Balk; and one sister-in-law, Gladys Balk.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Fulton. The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kevin VerHoeven, pastor of Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Fulton, officiating. Interment will be at Fulton Township Cemetery in Fulton.

Memorials to First Christian Reformed Church and Harbor Crest Home have been established.
