Grand reopening of Aldi in Cary set with sales, prizes

Local discount retailer to host grand opening

Cary’s Aldi, 3340 Three Oaks Road, has been remodeled and reopened.

The discount grocery store is open, and the grand reopening celebration is set for Thursday.

The first 100 customers during the event will have the chance to win golden tickets worth up to $100 in Aldi gift cards.

Residents will have the chance to win free produce and sample some of the grocer’s most popular products.

“Since we already love it here so much, we are celebrating with a day of great prizes, and of course, our big savings,” according to Aldi’s website.

There are five other Aldis in the McHenry County area: 425 S. Randall Road in Algonquin; 90 S. Western Ave. in Carpentersville; 410 S. Eastwood Drive in Woodstock; 5831 Route 14 in Crystal Lake; and 2226 N. Richmond Road in McHenry.

“The continued success of our store expansion and remodel initiatives has given us the opportunity to carefully select and introduce new products that satisfy our customers’ increasing preferences for fresh items, including organic meats, salad bowls, sliced fruits and gourmet cheeses,” Aldi CEO Jason Hart said in a news release.
