LONG POINT AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY

Long Point American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1217 met July 16 at the hall. President Mary Taylor called the meeting to order and Chaplain Arlene Martell led in prayer followed by a moment of silence for departed members and veterans. Twelve members were present.

American Legion installed officers for 2018-2019: Commander Verne Taylor; Vice Commander Roger Seeger; Adjutant/Financial Officer Kent Taylor; Chaplain Victor Bennett; and Sergeant-at-Arms Randy Finck.

The Auxiliary also installed officers: President Mary Taylor; Vice President Marian Ruff; Secretary Becky Taylor; Treasurer Judi Jacobs; Historian Ruth Ward; Chaplain Arlene Martell; and Sergeant-at-Arms Doris Ragusa.

Marilyn Bertch served refreshments. Becky Taylor presented the minutes of the last meeting. Judi Jacobs gave the treasurer’s report. The club received a thank you from Minnie Rustman for a memorial for her husband, Harold. Ruth Ward moved to buy new flags, both American and Auxiliary. She also volunteered to be on the audit committee to go over records with Judi Jacobs.
