P.E.O. CHAPTER IC IN STREATOR
A group of PEO sisters from Chapter IC in Streator attended the Illinois state convention in Itasca. Chapter IC of Streator was represented by current President Pauline Murray. The Illinois convention, covering three days, saw 317 of 327 Illinois chapters in attendance.
Fourteen members of Streator Chapter IC participated in the annual honors luncheon recognizing members who have reached milestones as members of PEO. Diana Dean, of Streator, reached a milestone being a member for 50 years. Her journey began in Chapter BC in Decatur. She joined Chapter IC upon moving to Streator. She is active in Chapter IC and lends her support financially to PEO’s many projects to help others. More importantly, she gives leadership through her experience and her unending kindness and enthusiasm.
Next year’s Illinois convention will be in Peoria. The International Convention, which will celebrate 150 years since the founding, will be in Des Moines, Iowa, where the organization began with seven original founding members.
