Second-graders at Troy Craughwell Elementary School presented themselves as famous historical figures at the school’s recent wax museum.
Teacher Amy Snead said the project was an interesting way for the students to learn about the lives and accomplishments of several well-known Americans. It also was a useful project for them to develop their research skills, she said.
People the students portrayed included Neil Armstrong, Betsy Ross, Alexander Graham Bell, Abraham Lincoln, Rosa Parks, Helen Keller, Johnny Appleseed, Susan B. Anthony, Martin Luther King Jr., Florence Nightengale and George Washington.
