Lemont police asked for the public’s help Thursday afternoon after a robbery suspect fled the scene of a TCF Bank inside a Jewel-Osco grocery store. The bank at 1202 State St. in Lemont was robbed about 10 a.m. Thursday, according to a news release from the Lemont Police Department.

A red dye pack was activated as a male wearing a long-sleeved gray shirt, blue jeans and a gray hat fled the scene. The suspect might have removed his shirt as he fled, the release states.

No weapon was displayed during the robbery. FBI agents responded Thursday, as well, Special Agent Janine L. Wheeler said.

The man is about 5-feet, 8-inches tall, weighing 180 to 200 pounds with a medium build, Wheeler said. He had a slight amount of facial hair on his chin.
