If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand as an American Ninja Warrior, you now have a chance in Crystal Lake.

Urban Air Adventure Park just opened a Crystal Lake location and offers people of all ages a chance to try various obstacle courses – including a ninja warrior course – jump on trampolines and play dodgeball.

Jennifer Keilman said she opened the location because there wasn’t anything like it in the area.

“We figured, ‘Why not bring it here?’ ” she said. “It’s a much-needed activity for families. It’s for all ages, and that part is really cool because families can come interact together.”

The adventure park features a climbing wall, trampolines, a ropes course, dodgeball court, trapezes, a climbing hill, a harnessed “Sky Rider” coaster, a playground and separate trampoline areas for children younger than 7 and various obstacle courses.

Urban Air has locations across the U.S. Illinois locations include Crystal Lake, Elgin, Bloomingdale and Waukegan, according to its website.

The Crystal Lake location is open from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 4 to 11 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Urban Air will offer longer hours June 4 to Aug. 23 when school is out of session. Summer hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The site offers birthday parties and corporate events. Pricing is based on which attractions you wish to use and can be seen on the company's website at www.urbanairtrampolinepark.com.

The portion of the industrial building Urban Air occupies is about 33,800 square feet and the former site of Sky High Volleyball. It’s also next to the former Willow Creek Community Church, which moved in 2017 to a bigger industrial building on Main Street. It’s located at 220 Exchange Drive, Unit F.
