Harvey Partain

WYANET — Harvey E. Partain, 88, of Wyanet passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, at his home in Wyanet.

Harvey was born March 16, 1930, in Hardin County, Ill., to Harve and Lola (Pennell) Partain. He married Wanda Bayne Oct. 31, 1954, in Iuka, Miss.

Harvey worked as a mechanic for Kittler Motors as well as at various other garages in the Princeton area. He was also the owner of the Princeton Arco Station.

He enjoyed golfing, motorcycle racing, yard work, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends.

Harvey is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Wanda Partain of Wyanet; his son, Elwood (Woody) and Carol Partain of Wyanet; four grandchildren, Drew (Robbyn) Partain of Utica, Lindsey (Nathan) Koning of Tiskilwa, Clarissa (Nick) Barto of Utica and Jeremiah (Abbey) Fairbanks of Normal; eight great-grandchildren, Landen, Wyatt, Avaya and Rowan Koning, Caleb Barto, and Lyla, Anya and Micah Fairbanks; two sisters, Faye Walker (his twin sister) of Gatlinburg, Tenn., and Mosella (James) Patton of Dixon; and one sister-in-law, Donna Dutton of Rochester.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lucille Lewis.

The family will have a celebration of life at a later date and time.
