Northern Rehab donates to DeKalb County Community Gardens

DeKALB – Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists recently held a community contest to choose a local organization to support in honor of Physical Therapy Month. DeKalb County Community Gardens was chosen as the recipient.

Northern Rehab donated to DCCG to support its mission to strengthen access to fresh, local and sustainably grown organic food for people in need in the community.

Brandon Clement, physical therapist at Northern Rehab’s DeKalb Main clinic, presented the donation to DCCG’s executive director, Dan Kenney.

“As part of Physical Therapy Month and as part of our company’s mission, Northern Rehab wanted to give back to an organization that promotes an active and healthy lifestyle in our community,” Clement said in a news release. “We are pleased to support DCCG in helping to end hunger in DeKalb County.”

“We are very thankful for this donation and the support we’ve received from Northern Rehab,” Kenney said in the release. “This support assists us in continuing to provide locally grown food and educational programs to improve the health and nutrition in the DeKalb County community.”
