The Oswegoland Fishin’ Fools will welcome “The Crappie Professor,” Jim Kopjo, pro fishing guide, to talk about ice fishing on Shabbona Lake and open water fishing on Lake Heidecke, at the meeting on Monday, Feb. 6.
Kopjo has competed in numerous ice fishing tournaments and is a consistent producer of quality fish both on the ice and open water. His secret? He finds the fish. Come find out how.
The meeting will be held at Allied First Bank, 3201 Orchard Road in Oswego. The club meeting will start at 7 p.m. with the speaker beginning at 8 p.m. Admission for nonmembers is $5, which will be credited toward dues should they become a member in the current year.
The Oswegoland Fishin’ Fools is a multi-species fishing club that meets at 7 p.m. the first Monday of each month at Allied First Bank. Members do not need to own a boat or live in Oswego. The group fishes mainly Illinois and Wisconsin waters. Call Danny Cossich at 815-735-0425 for more information.
