Paul Cirone, 56, of the 400 block of North Evergreen Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged at 11:58 p.m. Dec. 15 with aggravated assault at The Club, 133 N. Addison Ave.

Attempted theft

An attempted theft of truck batteries reportedly occurred at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 11 at JX Truck Center, 216 W. Diversey Ave.

Battery

• A battery was reported at 9:59 p.m. Dec. 9 at York and Second streets.

• Diane Carlson, 68, of the 2700 block of Rhodes Avenue, Northlake, was cited with battery at 5:54 p.m. Dec. 16 at York Theatre, 150 N. York St.

Burglary

• Cash, a driver's license and a FOID card reportedly were stolen between 9 and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 10 from a locker secured with a combination lock at L.A. Fitness, 620 N. York Road.

• A purse and its contents reportedly were stolen between 4:40 and 5:40 p.m. Dec. 12 from a vehicle after the rear passenger side window was broken at the YMCA, 211 W. First St. Unauthorized charges reportedly were made at the Walmart and GameStop in Northlake. The victim canceled her credit cards.

• A gray backpack reportedly was stolen at 7:20 a.m. Dec. 15 from an unlocked Chevrolet Tahoe at Elmhurst KinderCare, 556 W. North Ave.

Controlled substance possession

Alvaro Arzate, 20, of the 300 block of East Victoria Drive, Northlake, was charged at 6:04 p.m. Dec. 17 with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and speeding at Berteau Avenue and Joanne Way.

Disorderly conduct

Paul Cirone, 56, of the 400 block of North Evergreen Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged at 8:02 p.m. Dec. 8 with possession of open alcohol on public property and disorderly conduct - public intoxication in the 100 block of North York Street.

Drug paraphernalia possession

• Antonio McBean, 22, of the 500 block of East Spruce Street, Palatine, was charged at 8:37 p.m. Dec. 5 with possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding at Route 83 and North Avenue.

• Andrea Balbuena, 18, of the 100 block of Bernice Drive, Bensenville, was cited at 10:06 p.m. Dec. 15 with possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to signal at York and Third streets. A juvenile was cited at the same time and date with unlawful possession of marijuana at the same location.

DUI

• Jose F. Ich-Cuc, 38, of the 1300 block of East Ports O Call Drive, Palatine, was charged at 4:46 p.m. Dec. 9 with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use in the 600 block of West Grand Avenue.

• Rafael Figueroa-Montel, 36, of the 100 block of Cambridge Lane, Glendale Heights, was charged at 6:32 p.m. Dec. 14 with DUI of alcohol and improper lane use at Route 83 and Second Street.

• David Hernandez, 38, of the 1600 block of Calumet Avenue, Whiting, Ind., was charged at 10:58 p.m. Dec. 15 with DUI of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, disobeying a traffic control device and no insurance at Route 83 and North Avenue.

• Diana Dobrilla, 47, of the 600 block of South Sunnyside Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged with DUI of alcohol, failure to signal and improper lane use at Route 83 and North Avenue.

• Nahum Figueroa, 26, of the 400 block of Gregory Avenue, Glendale Heights, was charged at 4:57 a.m. Dec. 17 with DUI of alcohol and driving too fast for conditions in the 400 block of West North Avenue.

Fraud

A phone call from a person claiming to be from ComEd was reported at 5:20 p.m. Dec. 9 in the 100 block of Schiller Street.

Identity theft

• An incident of identity theft was reported at 1:29 p.m. Dec. 10 in the 600 block of West Armitage Avenue.

• An incident of identity theft was reported at 12:36 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Elm Creek Apartments and Townhomes, 1 Elm Creek Drive.

• An incident of identity theft was reported at 5 p.m. Dec. 13 in the 500 block of South Fairview Avenue as having occurred at 12:01 a.m. March 1.

• An incident of identity theft was reported at 11:54 a.m. Dec. 16 as having occurred at noon Dec. 14 in the 500 block of East Adams Street. A U.S. Bank Visa debit card reportedly was used to make unauthorized online purchases.

• An incident of identity theft was reported at 4:36 p.m. Dec. 16 as having occurred between noon April 1 and noon Aug. 14 in the 600 block of South Washington Street. A Comcast service reportedly had been fraudulently purchased using the victim's name and Social Security number.

Lost property

• A wallet reportedly was lost at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83.

• The rear license plate of a vehicle reportedly was lost between noon Dec. 14 and 8 a.m. Dec. 15 in the 200 block of East Forest Avenue.

Marijuana possession

• Nicholas B. Harris Jr., 19, of the 500 block of North Laramie Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 6:04 a.m. Nov. 30 with unlawful possession of marijuana and no valid driver's license at York Road and Columbia Avenue.

• Derek Keller, 18, of the 1000 block of Park Crest Drive, Darien, was charged at 8:02 p.m. Dec. 6 with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the parking lot at Sandburg Middle School, 345 E. St. Charles Road.

• Anthony Taylor, 36, of the 2400 block of South 21st Avenue, Broadview, was charged at 2:43 a.m. Dec. 7 with unlawful possession of marijuana, driving while license suspended and no insurance at York and Roosevelt roads.

• Jonathon E. Chung, 18, of the 1100 block of Westmoor Road, Winnetka, was cited at 5:02 p.m. Dec. 7 with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at Elmhurst College, 190 S. Prospect Ave.

• Kevin Perreault, 40, of the 1300 block of Jill Court, Glendale Heights, was charged at 10:01 p.m. Dec. 8 with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 500 block of West Grand Avenue. Hillary Stark, 24, of the 5800 block of West 124th Place, Alsip, was charged at the same time and date with possession of drug paraphernalia at the same location.

• Arjon Verma, 21, of the 5800 block of Albin Terrace, Berkeley, and Adam Skowronski, 18, of the 200 block of North Willow Road, Elmhurst, were charged at 10:01 p.m. Dec. 9 with unlawful possession of marijuana in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue.

• Rommel Bautista, 18, of the 100 block of George Street, Bensenville, and Tyvell Slater, 18, of the 5100 block of South May Street, Chicago, were charged at 4 p.m. Dec. 11 with unlawful possession of marijuana at York Street and Robert T. Palmer Drive. Stephen Suntrup, 18, of the 2000 block of Spanish Drive, St. Louis, Mo.; Joshua Zawislak, 19, of the 22W500 block of Tamarack Drive, Glen Ellyn; and Christopher Watkins, 19, of the 1300 block of East Main Street, Salem, were charged at the same time and date with unlawful possession of marijuana and no seatbelts at the same location.

• Jessica J. Vandermeir, 30, of the 22W500 block of Armitage Avenue, Glen Ellyn, was cited at 7:25 p.m. Dec. 12 with unlawful possession of marijuana at York Street and Fremont Avenue.

• Nathaniel Booker, 20, of the 1200 block of South Fourth Street, Aurora, was cited at 1:53 p.m. Dec. 15 with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol by a minor at Elmhurst College, 190 S. Prospect Ave.

Property damage

• A basement window reportedly was broken between noon Nov. 18 and 1:13 p.m. Dec. 2 in the 200 block of South Poplar Avenue.

• Jose Esparza, 30, of the 200 block of North Church Road, Bensenville, was charged at 7:42 a.m. Dec. 4 with causing injury to city property in the 400 block of Walnut Street.

• A car's side mirror reportedly was shattered at 11:29 p.m. Dec. 7 in the 400 block of West Alma Street.

• A house reportedly was egged between 8:30 p.m. Dec. 9 and 9 a.m. Dec. 10 in the 100 block of North Larch Avenue.

• Outdoor Christmas lights reportedly were cut between 6 a.m. Dec. 10 and 5 p.m. Dec. 11 in the 100 block of North Maple Avenue.

• A rear license plate reportedly was broken off a vehicle and bent at 1:38 a.m. Dec. 16 at Schiller Street and Commerce Parkway.

• A window was reported broken at 1:49 a.m. Dec. 16 at the Community Bank of Elmhurst, 133 N. York St.

• A corner sign reportedly was cracked and a newly planted tree reportedly was bent over between 6 p.m. Dec. 15 and 7:53 a.m. Dec. 16 at Madison Early Childhood Center, 130 W. Madison St.

Suspicious circumstances

• An incident involving suspicious circumstances was reported at 11:45 a.m. Nov. 30 in the 1000 block of South Mitchell Avenue. The victim had received a phone call from a woman claiming to be from the Social Security Department, who asked for her personal information. The victim canceled her credit cards and changed her bank account. No dollar loss was reported.

• An incident involving suspicious circumstances was reported at 11:54 p.m. Dec. 10 in the 500 block of South Fairview Avenue.

Theft

• Copper tubing, aluminum and radiators were reported stolen at 10:21 a.m. Dec. 10 from a construction site at 100 N. Addison Ave.

• Alochol and other items reportedly were stolen at 2:10 p.m. Dec. 12 at Mariano's, 678 N. York St.

• A package was reported stolen at 8:25 a.m. Dec. 12 in the 100 block of South Arlington Avenue.

• Petar Junkovic, 22, of the 6800 block of West Montrose Avenue, Harwood Heights, and Anthony Oplinger, 22, of the 300 block of Hiawatha Trail, Wood Dale, were charged at 4:39 p.m. Dec. 13 with retail theft at Mariano's, 678 N. York St.

• A red Craftsman snow blower reportedly was stolen between 2 and 5 p.m. Dec. 13 from Ace Hardware, 145 E. First St.

• A large black purse reportedly was stolen between 5:15 and 6:10 p.m. from a shopping cart at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83.

• A retail theft was reported at 4:57 p.m. Dec. 16 at Mariano's, 678 N. York St.

Traffic violation

• Gerardo Omana, 53, of the 3600 block of West Schubert Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 3:59 a.m. Dec. 3 with improper lane use and no valid driver's license at Grand Avenue and Industrial Drive.

• Miles Wesley, 18, of the 300 block of North Waller Street, Chicago, was charged at 1:43 a.m. Dec. 4 with no valid driver's license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle in the 100 block of West Third Street.

• Dennis Diaz, 39, of the 6700 block of Hickory Drive, Hanover Park, was charged at 3:56 p.m. Dec. 4 with speeding and driving while license suspended at Lake Street and Emroy Avenue.

• Michael A. Apollo, 30, of the 1700 block of Grand Highlands Drive, Plainfield, was charged at 11:51 a.m. Dec. 5 with speeding and driving while license suspended at York Street and St. Charles Road.
