STERLING – Gloria D. Clements, 86, of Sterling, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at Regency Care of Sterling.

Gloria was born Feb. 22, 1931, in Detroit, the daughter of Darwin and Edith (Thibaut) Crall. She married Hugh Houston Clements on Nov. 3, 1951, in Detroit. He died May 27, 2005. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Nachusa, and a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Jeffrey (Paulette) Clements of Rockford and the Rev. Brant (Melanie) Clements of Dixon; one grandson, the Rev. Nathan (Emily) Clements of La Porte City, Iowa; and her brother, Bruce (Ellen) Crall of Shelby Township, Michigan.

She also was preceded in death by her parents.

There are no public services. A private family service will take place. McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory in Rock Falls handled arrangements.
