MORRIS - Alexander Pantoja, 23 of Joliet has pleaded guilty to theft of $80,000 over a one year period from Grainger in Minooka.

Pantoja was arrested in October 2016 for the thefts and a Grundy County grand jury indicted him with theft between $10,000 and $100,000 in November.

On Oct. 2 this year he pleaded guilty to the charges in the courtroom of Judge Robert Marsaglia and he is awaiting sentencing which is set for Jan. 4, 2018.

The charge is a class two felony and he could receive four to 15 years in prison or probation.

Pantoja is currently out on a $100,000 bond.
