PRINCETON — Jason Maurice is the new owner of Heartland Auto Body in Princeton at 1515 W. Peru St.

Maurice became the owner of the business Sept. 18 after buying it from Dave Roggy, who had the shop since 1991. Maurice has 25 years of body shop experience, including managing another body shop in Princeton the last few years.

“Our specialty will be collision repair,” he said.

Maurice’s dad, John, had operated a body shop in Oglesby so Jason Maurice grew up helping his dad in the shop when he could during his high school years.

Jason Maurice has been in the auto body business since 1992. Maurice’s dad, who has 50 years of experience in the field, also helps out at the shop. Other employees are Tim Kinsley, who has worked at Heartland since 2000 and Ken Arjes, who has been in the business since 1990.
