Ship it, wrap it, pack it, sell it: Rock Falls business has a lot to offer

ROCK FALLS – When it comes to shipping, a new business bills itself as the complete package – and then some.

Snail Mail Logistics, which opened in June in the Industrial Park, offers shipping, receiving, custom packing, and more.

Owner William Stickel, 45, of Rock Falls, said the business not only offers “all types of shipping, big and small,” but sells packaging and moving supplies, too, including boxes, bubble wrap and tape.

It’s an authorized FedEx, UPS and Spee-Dee shipping center. Spee-Dee is a regional delivery service that serves eight states in the upper Midwest with daily pick-ups.

Customers also can have packages sent to Snail Mail Logistics so they can be picked up later – a service that comes in handy if no one’s at home to receive them.

If it’s not packages you want to pick up, but a few extra bucks, Stickel can help there, too. The business offers a consignment service, with products on display in the lobby and advertised on eBay, Etsy and the business’ Facebook page. Snail Mail also hosts auctions in its warehouse.

People can even drop off their cable-TV box and equipment and Snail Mail will get it back to the cable company.

Drop it off. Ship it off. Sell it off. Pick it up. Stickel said his business has a lot to offer, and people are glad he’s offering it.

“The area definitely needs it,” he said. “Customers are relieved we are here.”
