Jack L. Rowley

ORANGEVILLE – Jack L. Rowley, 66, of Orangeville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, peacefully at home.

He was born Oct. 26, 1950, in Dixon, the son of Dale and Carol Lee (Willstead) Rowley. He was a 1970 graduate of Lanark High School. Jack married his high school sweetheart, Rozalyn M. Welp, on June 20, 1998. Jack was a lifelong truck driver, whose hobbies included horseback riding and tinkering with his tractors. He was a fan of country music, westerns, and “NCIS.” Jack enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Survivors include his wife, Rozalyn Rowley of Orangeville; two sons, Chad (Kristy) Murphy of Franklin Grove and Derek (Kristin)) Rowley of Oswego; two stepdaughters, Angela Lydon (Matthew) Strand of South Beloit, and Libby (Josh) Rhodes of Orangeville; seven grandchildren, Sawyer, Zane, Taylor, Tyler, Madyson, Hunter and Hudson; three nephews, Nick, Ted, and Drew Rowley; brother-in-law, Randy Welp of Lanark; mother-in-law, Wilma Meland of Monroe, Wisconsin; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and brother Rick Rowley.

A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Oct. 8 at Brush Creek Golf Course, 2001 W. St. James Road, Orangeville. Schwarz Funeral Home, 816 S. Galena Ave, Freeport, handled arrangements.
