The Yorkville Middle School 8th grade football team won its third consecutive Fox River Prairie Conference championship. The Foxes downed Geneva 14-0 in a muddy semifinal contest before beating St. Charles Thompson 14-6 in the championship game. The team finished the year with a 9-1 record in A games, and a 1-1 record in B games. Leading scorers on the season included Doug Burson with 13 total touchdowns and Cole Yearsley with nine. Luke Davies completed 12 touchdown passes and Chase Divito had five touchdown receptions over the course of the season.
