Pedal pulling fun in Lisbon

LISBON – Tractor pulls are a fair favorite throughout the country.

To change things up a bit, the annual Lisbon Labor Day festivities included a pedal tractor pull where children and adults alike gave tractor pulling a try using just the power of their two legs.

The event, sponsored by Kunkel Seed Sales and Bushnell Equipment, divided riders by age group and had them pull a weighted sled down a road in an attempt to go farther than anyone else.

The winner was determined by the longest pull. In the event of a tie, extra weight was to be added to the sled, making each run a little more difficult until there was a winner.
