2 die in Glendale Heights of apparent carbon monoxide poisoning

GLENDALE HEIGHTS – Two people died Aug. 3 in a Glendale Heights home of apparent carbon monoxide poisoning.

The Glendale Heights Police Department and DuPage County Coroner's Office are investigating their deaths, according to a news release from the Police Department. At about 7:15 p.m. Aug. 3, police officers responded to the zero to 100 block of Blue Ridge Drive for a death investigation.

Officers and paramedics located the two occupants of the home, James and Kathryn McMahon, who had died from apparent carbon monoxide poisoning, the release stated.

According to the release, police are not looking for any suspects in their deaths.

"Investigators are confident there is no risk to the safety of the community," the release stated.
