DIXON – Robert G. Schwarz, 43, of Dixon, died Monday May 23, 2016, as a result of a construction accident.
He was born Sept. 23, 1972, in Dixon, the son of Robert and Patricia (Litts) Schwarz. He had worked for Laborers Local 727 for the past 18 years. Bob was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers, fan but was an even bigger fan of his three daughters and all their accomplishments. He married Dawn Lawson on May 15, 1999, at First United Methodist Church in Dixon.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Brittany Nicole, Tayla Marie, and Ashlyn Nicole; his father, Robert (Diane) Schwarz of Franklin Grove; his mother, Patty (Rick Stouffer) Kaelin of Amboy; his grandmother, Annice (Ken) Joseph of Las Vegas; two brothers, Toby (Theresa) Schwarz of Dixon and Lance (Katie) Montavon of Amboy; one sister, Amber Bishop of Franklin Grove; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and forever loved by his adopted family, Diane (Gary) Shehorn-Schnake, Donald Shehorn, Kimberly Shehorn, Michael Shehorn, Amy (Don) Abell, and Kristen Shehorn.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert L. Schwarz.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jones Funeral Home in Dixon. Visitation also will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, with the funeral at 11 a.m. Friday, at First United Methodist Church in Dixon, with the Rev. Timothy Mitchell, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon.
In lieu of flowers, the Bob Schwarz Memorial Fund has been established for the family at Sauk Valley Bank.
