MARENGO – Two Chicago men face felony charges after police said Monday that they received a tip that Marengo Guns was the target of a burglary.

Nathaniel Green, 28, of the 10400 block of South Sangamon Street, and Skyler Green, 19, of the 400 block of South Lake Avenue, each is charged with attempted burglary and criminal damage to property, according to a news release from the Marengo Police Department.

Marengo police conducted the investigation with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Illinois State Police and the McHenry County Sheriff's Office after learning that the store at 20014 E. Grant Highway was set to be burglarized sometime over the weekend, the release said.
