BATAVIA – The "Batavia Dream Team" will take on the Harlem Ambassadors in a comedy basketball show that starts at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Batavia High School gymnasium. The school is at 1201 Main St., Batavia.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Batavia Bulldog Boosters and the Batavia United Way and will be used for Batavia School District 101 student athletes and local families in need.
Tickets are on sale at www.BataviaBulldogBoosters.org. Advance tickets are $5 a student and $8 an adult. Children 4 and younger are free. The event is sponsored by Ronald A. The Harlem Ambassadors offer a unique brand of basketball, featuring slam dunks, ball-handling tricks, comedy routines, music, dancing and games for the kids.
“At our shows, we want the kids to know that they’re part of our team, too,” Harlem Ambassadors coach Ladè Majic stated in a news release. “We invite as many kids as we can to come sit on the bench, have a front-row seat during the show, and get involved in all of the fun stuff we do.”

“We scoured the area to put together a Dream Team to take on the Ambassadors,” Farley, a Batavia Bulldog Boosters board member, stated in the release. “Come and cheer on our enthusiastic local talent. It will be a night filled with laughter, comedy, and slam dunks – all to benefit the local community.”
