Property damage
Numerous pickets on a fence were damaged between March 1 and Aug. 3 in the 1000 block of Redwood Drive, the owner told Yorkville police. Vandals also placed a running water hose under a concrete patio, causing structural damage. The loss was estimated at $6,340, reports said.
Someone damaged a truck between 3 and 3:30 p.m. Aug. 7 in the 1800 block of Marketview Drive, Yorkville police said. Damage was estimated at more than $500, the report said.
Two injured in crash
Two people were injured in a two-car collision at about 5:45 p.m. Aug. 2 at Route 34 and Marketplace Drive, Yorkville police said. According to reports, vehicles driven by Damian McKague, 32, of Hazen, N.D., and Melissa Turnbow, 33, of the 700 block of Redwood Drive, Aurora, collided. McKague was cited for making an illegal U-turn, police said. Turnbow and a passenger in her vehicle were taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora for treatment, reports said.
Possession charges
Christopher J. Larson, 18, of the 600 block of Freemont Street, Yorkville, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at about 2:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at McHugh Road and Jackson Street, Yorkville police said. Larson was a passenger in the vehicle, reports said.
Bicycle taken
A mountain bike valued at $100 was taken between Aug. 3 and 4 from a home in the 300 block of Mulhern Court, Yorkville police said.
Wallet missing
A tri-fold wallet containing a driver’s license, fishing license and debit and credit cards was reported missing to Yorkville police. The incident occurred between Aug. 3 and 4 in the 1000 block of Homestead Drive, according to reports.
Disorderly conduct
Kyle T. Wisek, 22, of Alsip, was charged with disorderly conduct at about 5 p.m. Aug. 8 at a business in the 4000 block of North Bridge Street, Yorkville police said. According to reports, Wisek also was charged with obstructing identification, resisting a peace officer and aggravated assault. Wisek was transported to an area hospital for evaluation and police will seek warrants in connection with the case, the reports said.
Jesus Mendoza, 52, of the 4500 block of Halfmoon, Yorkville, was charged with disorderly conduct at about 2 p.m. Aug. 5 in the 4500 block of Rosenwinkel Street, Yorkville police reports said.
Deceptive practice
Yorkville police are investigating a deceptive practice case from Aug. 6 in which someone wrote a check for items totalling more than $880 at a store in the 1800 block of Marketview Drive. The check was returned for insufficient funds, reports said. Three nail guns, a ball cap and deodorant were among the items in the transaction, police reports said.
Underage drinking
Two people were charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in connection with an incident at about 3:50 a.m. Aug. 8 in the 2000 block of South Bridge Street, Yorkville police said. Charged are: Carmela S. Ocegueda, 19, of the 800 block of 6th Avenue, Geneva, and D’Quan A.E. Stewart, 20, of the 700 block of North Van Buren Street, Batavia, police reports said.
Warrant arrest
Jacob Whitford, 19, of the 1900 block of Holly Street, Sandwich, was arrested at about 10:45 p.m. Aug. 10 on a warrant from Kendall County on failure to appear on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, Yorkville police said.
