CHADWICK – Wanda L. Hemminger, 71, of rural Chadwick, died Sunday, June 28, 2015, at home.

She was born Dec. 14, 1943, in Centralia, a daughter of Elvin Earl and Lizzie Louise (Simer) Bass. She married Harold Hemminger on Dec. 8, 1971, in Waupun, Wisconsin.

Survivors include her husband of Chadwick; daughters, Penny (Kendal) Helms of Sterling, Dana Sanders of Rock Falls, Brandy (Bruce) Darby of Morrison, and Becky Eagan of Sterling; sons, Walt (Annette) Swift of Dixon, and Matt (Mindy Milburn) Sanders of Sterling; sister, Rose Kane of Dixon; brother, Walter (Sally) Bass of Galva; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday and the funeral at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, with the Rev. Dalmus Meeks, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.

A memorial has been established.
