Sometimes adding a plain deck to your home just isn’t enough.
Intex outdoor rail systems can up the “wow” factor to your deck, porch, or anywhere else you want to add beauty as well as value to your home.
“Intex rail is made of all PVC,” said Mike French, manager of Mike’s Deck Center, in Montgomery, a division of Hines Outdoor Living. “It has an aluminum insert and comes in 6-, 8-, and 10-foot lengths.”
In addition to its superior strength, an advantage of Intex is that it requires no special hardware for installation at angles, said French. Intex also uses stainless steel fasteners in its railing.
“It will never rust like other fasteners,” said French. “And it’s easy to install. It can be painted but that’s not required.”
All Intex railing comes in white, but because it’s made of PVC, if you do paint it, the paint won’t peel.
Mike’s Deck Center carries the Hampton Extruded Rail System in stock, but Mike’s can also order the Dartmouth Extruded Rail System, the Nautilus Milled Rail System and the Nautilus Gooseneck Rail System.
The Hampton is not only economical, but it’s superior to composite railing. It comes in two rail top styles and can be bent for angle installation.
New this year is the Hampton injected molded cap and trim ring, which is more competitively priced that Intex’s pre-finished solid cellular PVC caps.
And, during the month of June, Intex railing is 10 percent off at Mike’s.
