HINSDALE
DUI
Victor Manuel Ibarra-Ibarra, 32, of the 6600 block of Pershing Road, Stickney, was charged at 8:53 p.m. May 20 with driving under the influence of alcohol in the 500 block of East 55th Street. Ibarra-Ibarra was stopped for speeding and improper lane use and refused testing to determine if his blood alcohol content was above the legal limit. Ibarra-Ibarra also was charged with speeding, improper lane use, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended and was arrested on a failure to appear on a warrant out of Livingston County.
Burglary and theft
• Someone stole items from a patient’s closet between 3 p.m. May 9 and 5 p.m. May 22 at ManorCare, 600 W. Ogden Avenue. The patient’s daughter was notified the items were returned to the store where they were purchased and the offender was given $88.77 on an in-store gift card.
• An envelope containing $400 was reported stolen between 4 p.m. May 23 and 12:15 p.m. May 24 at Hinsdale News Agency, 24 E. Hinsdale Ave.
• Someone was observed placing several items in a paper bag by a loss prevention agent and leaving without paying, as reported at 1:54 p.m. May 24 at Whole Foods, 500 E. Ogden Ave. The loss was reported at $147.11. The person was confronted by the agent in the parking lot, attempted to punch the agent and fled on foot.
• A GPS and prescription medication were stolen from a vehicle at 10 a.m. May 22 at Hinsdale Hospital, 120 N. Oak St. The vehicle was believed to be unlocked at the time of the burglary.
Marijuana possession
Assem Dakhel, 22, of the 16W500 block of 79th Street, Willowbrook, was charged at 3:37 p.m. May 19 with possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana in the 500 block of Columbia Avenue. Also charged was a 17-year old male who lives in Hinsdale.
Hit-and-run
At 8 a.m. May 22, a caller reported her car was stuck and the driver left the scene in the 500 block of East Ogden Avenue. The caller told police the vehicle was a red SUV or pickup truck, driven by a man who struck her vehicle while backing up in a parking lot while she was waiting for a space.
