Burglary

A coin jar was stolen from an unlocked van at 6:33 p.m. April 30 in the 700 block of South La Grange Road.

Traffic violation

• Michelle D. Magitt, 34, of the 17800 block of Roy Street, Lansing, was charged at 3:30 p.m. April 29 with driving with suspended registration at La Grange Road and 47th Street.

• Jesus Hernandez-Morales, 36, of the 20 block of South 15th Street, Maywood, was charged at 9:56 a.m. April 29 with driving on a suspended license at La Grange Road and Burlington Avenue.

• Kelly M. Balesteri, 37, of the 200 block of 51st Place, Western Springs, was charged at 8:15 a.m. April 27 with driving on a suspended license at 47th Street and Waiola Avenue.

• Ross E. Avery, 54, of the 700 block of North La Grange Road, La Grange, was charged at 11:43 a.m. April 27 with driving with suspended registration at La Grange Road and Cossitt Avenue.

Property damage

The windshield of a 2003 Saab was damaged at 12:31 p.m. April 25 in the 40 block of Seventh Avenue.

DUI

Herbert M. Evans, 48, of the 2900 block of West Warren Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 9:43 p.m. April 29 with driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated DUI, having open alcohol in a vehicle, no valid drivers license, no insurance and improper parking in the 800 block of East 31st Street.

Traffic violation

• Joel Marrufo, 39, of the 5200 block of South Artesian Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 8:27 a.m. April 30 with driving without a valid drivers license at Homestead Road and Garfield Avenue.

• Jesus Aguilar, 27, of the 3100 block of West 51st Street, Chicago, was charged at 4:32 p.m. April 25 with driving on a suspended license at La Grange Road and Monroe Avenue.

COUNTRYSIDE

Traffic violations

• Angelica M. Habasek, 19, of the 9700 block of 58th Street, was charged on April 28 with driving with no valid driver’s license, no insurance and improper lane use after a traffic stop in the 6700 block of East Eve.

• Edison A. Castillo, 27, of the 1900 block of 61st Street, Cicero, was charged April 28 with driving with a revoked driver’s license at Joliet Road and Willow Springs Road.

• Ryenaldo Navarro, 44, of the 3100 block of South Springfield Avenue, Chicago, was charged April 23 with driving on a revoked license after a stop at 55th and East avenues.

• Shawana L. Terrell, 25, 5900 block of Bishop Street, Chicago, was charged April 19 with driving on a suspended license, suspended registration and expired license plates in the 6200 block of Joliet Road.

• Joseph S. Connella, 23, of the 6900 block of West 26th Street, Berwyn, was charged April 18 with driving on a suspended license and speeding in the 9900 block of 58th Street.

Public urination

Gustavo Mercado, 22, of the 50 block of Pine Lane, Hodgkins, was charged 2 a.m. April 19 with public urination in the 9600 block of 55th Street.

Theft

• Zeljko Zivko, 44, of the 5600 block of Kensington Avenue, was charged on April 26 with retail theft after an attempt to steal $47.18 worth of material from the Home Depot Store, 140 Countryside Plaza.

• Edward J. Rabe, 31, of the 100 block of Wallace Street, Bartlett, was charged on April 25 with retail theft after attempting to steal $377 worth of electrical wire from the Home Depot Store, 140 Countryside Plaza. Two arrest warrants previously were issued to Rabe by Du-Page County.

Burglary

• A total of $2,000 worth of cash and valuables was reported stolen at 3:44 p.m. April 20 from a residence in the 1200 block of Balmoral Avenue.

• Someone stole $1,500 worth of tools at 5:48 a.m. April 21 from a 2011 Chevy Silverado in the 11100 block of Wakefield Street.

• Tools and a solar battery tester valued at $550 were stolen at 6 a.m. April 21 from a 2011 GMC pickup truck at the Hampton Inn, 2222 Enterprise Drive.

• A glass window was shattered and several items were stolen at 8:02 a.m. April 21 from the Healthy Nail Salon, 11057 Roosevelt Road.

• Someone gained entry and stole cash at 8:03 a.m. April 21 from the Envogue Wig Shop, 11059 Roosevelt Road.

Theft

• James Johnson, 46, of no listed address, was charged at 4:05 p.m. April 25 with retail theft after stealing liquor valued at $17.49 from Walgreens, 10345 Roosevelt Road.

• Someone in their mid 20s with a small build at 5-feet-3 inches stole two cartons of cigarettes valued at $182.60 at 9:02 p.m. April 25 from Walgreens, 10345 Roosevelt Road.

WESTERN SPRINGS

Underage drinking

Alexis Flores, 18 of the 400 block Robinhood Lane, Aurora and Sergio Rodriguez, 19, of the 300 block of South Spencer Street, Aurora, were charged at 1:14 a.m. April 26 with alcohol possession after being stopped for speeding at Ogden and Hampton avenues.

Theft

Someone stole a decorative brass address sign valued at $150 at 5:56 p.m. April 20 from the front yard of a residence in the 5100 block of Lawn Avenue.

Drug paraphernalia possession

Vicente Perea, 18, of the 3600 block of Wesley Avenue, Berwyn, was charged at 12:43 a.m. April 27 with marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia possession, speeding and no insurance at Ellington and Ogden avenues.
