STERLING – Theodore J. "Ted" Bittner, 52, of Sterling, died Sunday, April 19, 2015, at his home.
He was born July 20, 1962, in Sterling, the son of Richard Kent and Susan Marie (Bradley) Bittner. Ted was a self-employed auto body technician and mechanic. Ted was an avid bowler. He was a proud sponsor of AA and opened meetings. Ted was a true “gear head” and loved working on cars. He was a very spiritual person.
Survivors include his son, Nicholas A. Bittner, his father, Richard K. Bittner, and his mother, Susan M. Bittner, all of Sterling; his brothers, Mike Bittner and Rick Bittner, both of Rock Falls, and Jeff (Carrie) Bittner of Chicago; his sister, Lori Wyatt of Rock Falls; and special friend, Casey Robbins.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at McDonald Funeral Home, 505 First Ave., Sterling. Cremation rites will be accorded.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established.
