JOHNSBURG – A Massage Envy Spa will open Nov. 11 in the Shops at Fox River in Johnsburg.
The spa, which offers therapeutic massage and spa services to members and guests, will be at 2936 Commerce Drive between JCPenney and Justice, franchise owner Mitchell Berman said. The 4,000-square-foot facility will have 13 rooms, including four dual-purpose rooms for massages, facials, hot stone and other spa services. It will be open seven days a week.
A grand opening event is being planned for Nov. 21-23, Berman said.
Memberships cost $59.99 a month and include benefits such as a customized massage every month and additional massages and services at reduced rates, according to the Scottsdale, Arizona-based national franchiser.
Berman, a Crystal Lake resident, opened his first Massage Envy Spa in Lake Zurich in 2007.
"I love massage, so it was a very attractive opportunity for me," he said. "It's a lot of fun and a great business to be in."

Berman said the company has about 40 locations in Illinois.
