Police reports: Elmhurst for Nov. 7

Battery

Xavier McIntosh, 18, 300 block of North Myrtle Avenue, and a juvenile each were cited at 10:45 a.m. Oct. 29 for battery at York High School after the two allegedly fought during a game of floor hockey.

Controlled substance possession

• Jamie Elkin, 23, 2200 block of South Grace Street, Lombard, was charged at 7:33 p.m. Oct. 23 with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 200 block of North Addison Avenue. Elkin also had three failure to appear warrants.

• Eric P. Lopresti, 22, 100 block of East Oak Street, Villa Park, was charged at 12:08 p.m. Oct. 29 with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and loud exhaust at St. Charles and Route 83.

Marijuana possession

• William J. Lowery, 21, 300 block of East Fullerton Avenue, and David A. Knopp, 20, 700 block of North Geneva Avenue, each were charged at 10:39 a.m. Oct. 24 with possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana at Armitage Avenue and Walnut Street. Lowery also was charged with failure to signal.

• Nathaniel Brown, 20, 4200 block of West Gladys Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 3:01 p.m. Oct. 25 with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of alcohol by a person under 21 and improper lane use at North Avenue and Indiana Street.

• Anthony A. Lafrossia, 25, 100 block of South York Street, was charged at 2:06 p.m. Oct. 25 with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 100 block of South York Street.

• Jesse Marentes, 23, 400 block of Terrace Street, Villa Park, was charged at 2:29 a.m. Oct. 26 with driving while license suspended, tinted windows and unlawful possession of marijuana at North Avenue and Route 83.

• Zeshan Ahmed, 20, 0 to 100 block of West Washington Street, Villa Park, was charged at 4:55 p.m. Oct. 27 with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding at York Street and Belden Avenue.

• Jeramie A. Strong, 23, 600 block of North Briar Hill Lane, Addison, and Alexandra M. Bublitz, 21, 600 block of West Ronald Drive, Addison, each were charged at 5:46 p.m. Oct. 27 with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 100 block of North York Street.

• Byron Ramos-Hidalgo, 20, 1000 block of Ferrari Drive, Bensenville, was charged at 9:58 p.m. Oct. 27 with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding, driving while license suspended and not having insurance at North End Avenue and York Street.

• Esteban Dayton, 33, 200 block of North Maple Avenue, was charged at 12:47 a.m. Oct. 28 with unlawful possession of marijuana, expired registration, not having insurance, driving while license suspended, improper use of registration and illegal transportation of alcohol at Maple Avenue and Third Street.

• Samuel Rodriguez, 22, 1000 block of North 7th Ave., Maywood, was charged at 2:14 p.m. Oct. 28 with unlawful possession of marijuana at Madison and York streets. Jorge Erik 22, 1700 block of 15th Ave., Melrose Park, also was charged with speeding.

Theft, burglary

• Tunisha L. Harris, 20, 900 block of South Lorraine Road, Wheaton, was charged at 7:55 p.m. Oct. 23 with retail theft in the 200 block of South Route 83 after allegedly stealing a phone case.

• A catalytic converter was reportedly stolen from a parked car between 9:55 and 10:45 a.m. Oct. 25 in the 400 block of West Butterfield Road.

• Two catalytic converters were reportedly stolen from parked cars between 9:30 a.m. and noon Oct. 25 in the 100 block of East Brush Hill Road.

• A screen was missing and drawers and cabinet doors open between noon and 6 p.m. Oct. 26 in the 400 block of West Third Street.

• Car windows were broken and a Coach diaper bag containing an Apple laptop computer, a Coach shoulder bag and a black purse were reportedly stolen from inside three parked cars between 5:15 and 7 p.m. Oct. 28 in the 200 block of West First Street.

• A car window was pushed in and a cellphone reportedly stolen from inside a parked car between 12:05 and 9:44 a.m. Oct. 29 in the 700 block of South Spring Road.

• A debit card and $40 in cash were reportedly stolen from a wallet at 12:50 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 100 block of Elmhurst Avenue.

• Karla A. Garcia-Vallejo, 18, and Eric Rodriguez, 21, both of the 0 to 100 block of 8th Avenue, Maywood, each were charged at 6:34 p.m. Oct. 29 with retail theft in the 200 block of South Route 83.

Property damage

• Two parking pay stations were reportedly damaged between 9:30 and 9:39 a.m. Oct. 27 in the 100 block of West First Street.

• A man reportedly punched the driver’s side mirror of a car and pushed the driver to the ground when he exited the vehicle before leaving the scene at 10:49 p.m. Oct. 27 at Grantley and Myrtle avenues.

Disorderly conduct

• Mark Ward, 50, 1400 block of Polo Drive, Bartlett, was charged at 9:14 a.m. Oct. 24 with disorderly conduct in the 100 block of West First Street.

• Joshua Smejkal, 23, 500 block of Cornell Avenue, Villa Park, was charged at 2:45 a.m. Oct. 26 with injuring city property and disorderly conduct – public intoxication in the 100 block of Adelaide Street.

Suspicious circumstances

An Elmhurst woman reported she found a woman walking around her home looking for wine who left between 10 and 10:15 p.m. Oct. 22 in the 600 block of Bryan Street. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Dumpster fire

The Elmhurst Fire Department extinguished a dumpster fire at 12:03 a.m. Oct. 24 in the 100 block of West Third Street. The cause of the fire is unknown.

Forgery

A check for $2,500 was found to be fraudulent after someone tried to cash it between 11:50 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 100 block of North York Street.

Identity theft

The fraudulent use of a credit card to make two online purchases was reported at 3 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 300 block of North Elm Avenue.

Mischievous conduct

A house, garage and cars were reportedly egged at 12:15 a.m. Oct. 26 in the 300 block of West Eggleston Avenue.

Underage drinking

Theresa Breen, 18, 7600 block of West Norwood Street, Chicago, was charged at 12:48 a.m. Oct. 26 with consumption of alcohol by a minor in the 100 block of South Prospect Avenue.

Alcohol sale to a minor

• Rebecca M. Zepeda, 23, 100 block of South Villa Avenue, Addison, was charged at 7:37 p.m. Oct. 29 with sale of alcohol to a minor at Sal’s Beverage World, 695 W. St. Charles Road.

• Brett M. Mercado, 24, 1400 block of Golfview Drive, Glendale Heights, was charged at 8:32 p.m. Oct. 29 with sale of alcohol to a minor at Buffalo Wild Wings, 149 N. York Road.

Tobacco sale to a minor

• Steven S. Hayes, 47, 500 block of Geneva Avenue, Bellwood, was charged at 5:59 p.m. Oct. 29 with sale of tobacco to a minor at BP Amoco, 1003 N. York Road.

• Crystal L. Mack, 48, 5400 block of St. Charles Road, Berkeley, was charged at 6:23 p.m. Oct. 29 with sale of tobacco to a minor at Old Havana Cigar, 189 E. Butterfield Road.

Soliciting without a permit

A juvenile was charged at 6:11 p.m. Oct. 23 with soliciting without a permit in the 800 block of South York Street after being previously warned not to do so.
