DARIEN – The Darien Lyons Club got a boost for their annual Candy Day fundraiser from Willowbrook-based Bella Cosa Jewelers, 7163 Kingery Hwy.

Bella Cosa owners Joseph and Amy Molfese presented a check for $1,000 to the Darien Lyons Club Oct. 21.

The money will be used by the club for support vision and hearing impaired members of the community, according to a news release. Funds raised by the Lyons Club are also used to support various community activities, including the annual Halloween Party, Holiday Needy Food Basket program, blood drives and the Fourth of July Parade.

The Darien Lyons Club held Candy Days Oct. 10 and 11.

The club will host their annual Halloween Party for kids on Friday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Darien Sportsplex, 451 Plainfield Road.
