Memorial Day Parade draws Elmhurst community together

ELMHURST – Red, white and blue filled downtown Elmhurst on Monday while families waved on the 96th annual Memorial Day Parade.

The Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the city and veteran's organizations hosted the parade and a military ceremony at the Elmhurst Veterans Memorial in Wilder Park.

U.S. Army Colonel Robert Bracki was this year's Grand Marshall. Along with the many military members who participated, the parade earned support from many local organizations including Elmhurst police, the Elmhurst Fire Department and York High School marching band.
