Promenade Bolingbrook, built in 2007, now for sale

BOLINGBROOK – The Promenade Bolingbrook is for sale, according to Forest City Enterprises, Inc. media relations.

The Cleveland-based Forest City Enterprises, Inc. currently owns the Promenade Bolingbrook, but the national real estate company has hired Cushman and Wakefield, Inc., to sell the 628,995-square-foot mall, a Forest City representative said.

Forest City spent $152 million building the Promenade Bolingbrook, opening it in 2007.

"Bolingbrook is a quality market, the Promenade Bolingbrook is a quality asset and we anticipate there will be interest from potential buyers," Forest City Media Relations said in a press release. "Forest City uses the proceeds from asset sales to further invest in its more mature core assets, as well as improve its balance sheet. These are both key elements of our strategy moving forward."

The Promenade Bolingbrook is located at 631 E. Boughton Road, near the intersection of Boughton Road and Interstate-355. Promenade tenants include everything from Bass Pro Shop, to Macy's department store, to Binny's Beverage Depot and Gordon Biersch Brewery.
