TISKILWA — David Cushing Fredenhagen, 84, of Tiskilwa passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Manor Court of Princeton.
Born May 23, 1928, in Champaign to Paul and Delight (Cushing) Fredenhagen, he married B.J. Lee Aug. 5, 1950, in the Tiskilwa Methodist Church. She survives.
He was a 1946 graduate of Tiskilwa High School and attended North Western University. He farmed the family farm for 52 years as the fifth generation farmer and in 2006 his farm was selected for the Conservation Farm Family of the Year by the Bureau County Soil and Water Conservation District.
He was a member of the Princeton Elks and a past member of the Princeton Moose.
Also surviving are two sons, Charles (Jane) Fredenhagen of Tiskilwa and Roger Fredenhagen of Champaign; one daughter, Judy (Bill) Kramer of Greenville, S.C.; two grandchildren, Adam and Laura Fredenhagen; and one sister, Patricia (Donald) Bachman of Huntingdon, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Monday, May 13, at the Fiocchi-Jensen Funeral Home, Princeton, with Deacon John Murphy officiating. Interment will be private.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
