LEMONT — It has been a project over one year in the making, but the Green Home being built in the Briarcliffe subdivision in Lemont is set to air on season two of "Built to Last - The Green Home" nationally this fall.
Construction of the home continues as sprinklers and mechanical work with the home are being wrapped up. Next week, builders will install the radiant flooring on the second story and then move to insulation, drywall, interior finishing and paint.
Businesses in Lemont are now being offered the opportunity to advertise with the show when it airs the Lemont Green Home process nation-wide. Don Scott, director of communications for the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters, said business owners can advertise and promote themselves both locally and nationally at a reasonable cost.
