Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence K. Buck of South Wilmington will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, June 2 with their family.
Larry Buck and the former Thelma King were married in Unionville, Mo, on June 2, 1962. Attendants were John King and Zelda Jerome.
The couple has made their home in the Braceville-South Wilmington area for most of their married life.
Larry was employed at Caterpillar, Inc., in Joliet for 36 years until his retirement in 1998. Thelma worked as food manager and cook at Gardner-South Wilmington High School and South Wilmington Grade School before retiring in 2007 after 25 years.
Their children are Angie (Dave) Bexson, Sheri Simms and Clay (Heather) Buck, all of South Wilmington.
They have four granddaughters, Cassi Bexson, Kristen Bexson, Katie Simms and Lily Buck, also of South Wilmington.
