George C. Kowalski Jr., 59, Polo, died Friday, Jan. 13, 2012 at Provena Mercy Medical Center, Aurora.

He was born Feb. 12, 1952 in Melrose Park, the son of George and Mary (Curtis) Kowalski Sr.

He is survived by his sister, Linda Church; two brothers, Raymond (Deana) Kowalski and Andrew (Laura) DeMore; nieces and nephews, Robert Church, Andrew DeMore Jr., Nicholas DeMore, Zachary Kowalski, Zion DeMore, and Katelyn Kowalski.

He was the loving pet owner of Zenn, Adda, Sasha, Kaiser, Heidi, Anya and Kit. He was preceded in death by his parents.

His funeral service will be on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home, Genoa, with Rev. Daniel Diss officiating. 

Burial will be at the Genoa Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
