Aaron D. Sulwer, 34, of 615 N. Division St. is currently in jail for violating his parole as a convicted sex offender.
On Wednesday, Aug. 10, Morris Sgt. Scott Henderson filed a complaint in the Grundy County Circuit Court charging Sulwer with committing escape, possession of a computer when he’s not supposed to have one, and failing to register as a sex offender.
Sulwer was convicted in Will County of aggravated criminal sexual abuse on Aug. 22, 2008. His victim was between the ages of 13 and 16, Henderson said.
Sulwer was released from the Illinois Department of Corrections and, under his parole, is not supposed to leave his apartment. He was supervised under the electronic home monitoring detention program and knowingly violated his parole by leaving his apartment and going to the garage, Henderson said.
In addition, he was in possession of a computer when he is not allowed to be, and he was charged with failure to register as a sex offender because he did not give all the required information, which included his IP address.
Sulwer was arrested and is still sitting in jail, said Henderson Friday.
