ROCK FALLS – Bonnie L. Franks, 74, of Rock Falls, died Saturday, June 4, 2011, at CGH Medical Center, Sterling.

Bonnie was born Oct. 25, 1936, in Minnesota, the daughter of Bernhard and Georgia (Johnson) Stubberud. She married Alvin C. Bush. She later married Donald D. Franks on Sept. 18, 1955, in Independence, Iowa. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church, Rock Falls. She enjoyed crafting.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Franks of Rock Falls; one daughter, Dawn (Patrick) DeMay of Rock Falls; two sons, Charles (Linda) Bush and Clark (Margaret) Franks, both of Rock Falls; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Annette (Harvey) Hendrix of Cabool, Mo., and Carla (Patrick) Gionson of Eagle River, Alaska; and one brother, Steven (Marjorie) Stubberud of Waterloo, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Crystal Franks, in infancy; one sister, Jurena Slindie; two brothers, Gene and Merwin Stubberud; and her grandparents, including her favorite grandmother, Anna Anderson.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at McDonald Funeral Home, Sterling. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with pastor Cal Reynolds officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling.

A memorial has been established in her name.
